To adapt existing site for better user experience

THE TASK

Numbi.org is an established website which needed some updating and video integration, together with SEO and content development. Our team was tasked with enabling easy navigation and facilitating more user engagement with the site through highlighting events and feedback. Our client wanted to revamp their image and increase accessibility for a wider audience with varied needs, this required us approaching this project from a new perspective. 

THE STRATGEY

We began by fully exploring what had been created, looking at its blueprint and focusing on key areas for improvement. Together with our client we mapped out what we wanted to achieve and devise a strategy to easily integrate our new development into the existing product. We realised that to minimise intrusion the updates would have to be implemented in stages and carefully crafted and developed a plan alongside our user focus strategy. 

THE WORK

The first task was looking at what our data and users were telling us, namly issues with accessibility and poor navigation. We developed personas and created a new site map, creating shortcuts, stripping away the issues with blotted navigation for a more user friend experience. We found new links between their social media and added new content which drove traffic between the platforms. We found a way to add new features such as calendar and feedback to allow people to access events, to sign up for news listings and engage with the organisation with ease.

THE RESULT

The updates resulted in an 53% increase in engagement and a 60% increase in awareness via our SEO improvements. Our client was able to create new ways of reaching and interacting with their target audience, and move to develop new marketing strategies and objectives. Overall the site has brought an increase in attendance to events and allowed our client to expand what they were able to deliver.

THE OUTCOME

Our client has been inspired to carry out further improvements, looking at new ways and updated technology to revamp the entire site moving forward. New goals have been set with the objects of moving beyond what has been created to produce the ultimate user experience. Stay tuned for further development of this project.
